The Best Way to Ask a Girl to Prom Contest Rules

Entries can be submitted starting Saturday, February 19th, 2011. Closing date for submitting
entries is Saturday, April 2nd, 2011 midnight; no entries will be accepted after this time. Only videos of prom proposals for the “Come Fly With Me Prom” being held Saturday, April 23rd 2011 in Scottsdale, Arizona will be accepted.
  
Procedure for submitting your video
1. Upload your video to your Facebook Profile.
2. Type your name, stake and ward as information for the video.
3. Tag ComeFlyWithMe Prom so it appears on our wall.

The social site representatives from each stake, advertising committee chairs, and prom co-chairs will judge all videos. Videos will be previewed for appropriate content that meets Strength of Youth Pamphlet. If approved, all submitted videos will remain on the “ComeFlyWithMe Prom”
Facebook site and will be linked to the comeflywithmeprom.blogspot.com blog site. 4 winners, one from each stake will be chosen based on the following criteria:

Entries will be scored in five areas
1.   Meets the Strength of Youth Standards, i.e. music, dress, and language.
     Not following the standards will eliminate your video from competition.
2.   Creativity, i.e., imaginative, romantic, fun.
3.   Cost effectiveness. Creative ideas that do not cost much will score higher than
     creative ideas that are expensive.
4.   Safety. Bodily harm or property damage in your video will eliminate your video
     from the competition.
5.   Length. Any video that exceeds 3 minutes will be eliminated. Videos that are less are fine.

Four Prize Winners
One winner from each stake will be chosen. Each winner will receive a gift card for a dinner for two to a fancy restaurant. Winners will be posted on the Facebook site ComeFlyWithMe Prom and the comeflywithmeprom.blogspot.com site on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 at 11 p.m. Gift cards will be delivered to winners by social site representatives.

GIRLS — Dress should be modest. Dress should be at least knee length. Dress must have sleeves, no thin straps, no spaghetti straps, and no strapless. Slit in dress should be no higher than knee. Back of dress should be well above normal bra line. No midriff. No cleavage showing. No low cut neck lines. Any cover-up/jacket used as a cover to create sleeves, or to cover an open back, must not be sheer, and must be worn the entire evening. No body piercings (other than ears) BOYS —Jackets, dress pants and tie. No jeans. Collared, button down dress shirts only. No T-shirts. No radical hair. (Strange colors, Mohawks, etc.) No ball caps. No earrings or body piercings.
